Autism & Employment

Did you know that only 20% of adults with Asperger’s Syndrome (AS) are gainfully employed? That means that out of 10 adults with Asperger’s, only 2 have jobs. As a result, the rest rely on their families and the government for their livelihood. Because of their disability, many are constantly rejected for jobs they qualify for. Thus, they become jaded and come to believe that they cannot contribute to society.

It is this population that Asperger Works is attempting to reach.

Community Leadership

As a leader in the community, you no doubt share Asperger Works’ passion to improve the lives of our area residents, especially those with special needs. The mission of our organization is to provide the supports necessary to assist men and women living with Asperger’s Syndrome gain employment in the community. Contributions from individuals and community businesses make it possible for us to provide these services.

Asperger Works’ efforts to assist individuals with autism rely heavily upon the support of members of our community. That’s where you come in!
